The estate was created in 2005 by Brice Ormont (current owner) and the iconic Michel Grisard. This winery produces outstanding wines. The vineyard was planted on steep slopes (up to 60%) only with local grape varieties like Jacquère, Mondeuse, Altesse, and Persan. This 13 hectares organic vineyard is run with passion and respect of the living world. The aim is to let nature express itself.
Brice Ormont’s rigourous work in the vineyard is the key asset of the wine quality. Every action that is run in the vineyard aims to convey the grape and therefore the wine, the identity of each plot.
Domaine Trosset is a family estate located between Chambéry and Albertville, at the Combe de Savoie. In 2011, Fabien took over the domain and kept cultivating the local grape variety, the Mondeuse d’Arbin. This red grape variety, under the work of Fabien Trosset gains local and international recognition.Although the region is mostly known for its white wine production, here the red grapes and red wines dominate. The vines planted in hillsides benefit from an optimal sun exposure and a unique mountain climate – the French Alps.
Fabien Trosset produces impressive wines in their density and character, while keeping hints of fruits. He is at the top of the appellation.
