Domaine Bachelet-Monnot was only formed in 2005 but it has been cranking out the hits from the get go, with each subsequent release outdoing the last. Once you’ve encountered the tunes of the Bachelet boys, it’s very hard to forget them. Unfortunately, other importers from other markets have also cottoned on to the immaculate quality here, so we don’t get anywhere near the volumes we would like.
Marc and Alex Bachelet, thanks to the attention to detail in the vines and in the cellar, received immediate recognition for their Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Maranges 1er Cru.
Based in Meursault, Hubert’s two daughters took over the running of the estate in 2000. Having trained with Jacques Carillon, one of Puligny ‘s greatest growers, Marie-Anne concentrated her efforts on improving the quality of the vineyard. Marie-Anne’s philosophy is that making wine is easy if you have a healthy vineyard. Her sister, Marie-Laure, has taken over the commercial side of things.
A new producer for us, and we believe one of the future finest winemakers in Burgundy.
The history of the winery begins in 1880 in Savigny-lès-Beaune with the great grandfather Simon Bize. The grandfather and the father, both also named Simon Bize maintained the family tradition. In 1972, Patrick Bize further developed his father’s goals. 2013 marked the passing of Patrick Bize. His wife Chisa, his sister Marielle, and the entire team perpetuate Patrick’s ever-present goal to pursue quality through careful and exacting work in the vines. The Bize holdings are, with minor exceptions, entirely within the Savigny AOC, a mix of 1er Cru and Villages wines.
Domaine Simon Bize is without doubt Savigny’s leading estate. Wines are always pure with a very good freshness and a lovely silky texture.

This estate is based in Pernand-Vergelesses, in the Côte de Beaune wine-growing region of Burgundy, France. Domaine Bonneau du Martray is the only one in Burgundy to exclusively produce wine from Grand Cru vineyards. The estate is currently owned and managed by Jean-Charles de la Moriniere management and the care of the vineyard towards a biodynamic philosophy and away from the previous use of herbicides to manage weeds and pests. Since he inherited the vineyard from his father in 1994, Jean-Charles has also worked to reduce yields significantly in an effort to improve the intensity and quality.
This family estate is renowned for its production of Corton-Charlemagne.
Guillaume D’angerville runs the Domaine with modernity but maintaining the essential values that have been passed by his predecessors: Discipline, Respect to the great terroirs (Farming Biodynamic) and humility.
