In Charles' case, his passion is focused on, but not limited to, Burgundy, and his portfolio of producers is the finest in the country. That passion, paired with very favorable pricing and a seemingly unlimited well of knowledge makes Nomad one of our most important suppliers and partners in the wine business.

I started to work with Nomad Wine Importers almost two years ago, and it is very enjoyable. As a grower what I like from Charles, is that he knows what is talking about. He understands the quality of the job we’re doing in our vineyards and cellars.
Charles transmits his passion to the customers with the same energy as we would do. Well done Charles

"Nomad Wine Importers trusts responsible producers who share our core values: protect the soils, vines, grapes, terroirs, microclimates, and the environment.
Natural wines is a broad term that does not clearly describe how the wine has been produced nor does it have a clear definition from a government body. To enhance our transparency we have chosen not to use this term but we prefer to describe our wines with greater precision and finesse. Most of our producers use these methods: Organic or Biodynamic - Hand-harvesting - Fermentation takes place under the action of indigenous yeast - No use of chemicals - Sulfites as low as possible or none.
Our team operates with honesty and transparency to build a relation on knowledge and trust - with you, our customer."

Now in the hands of 41-year-old Romain Taupenot and his sister Virgine, 36, they are the 7th generation to continue the family tradition. This 15 hectare domaine, based in Gevrey, enjoys a reputation of being one of the most distinguished estates in the Côte-d'Or.
The “Rousseau hand” is a style of wine very recognizable: Fine, elegant and an honest, true expression of the vineyards through the Pinot Noir grape and a little piece of the winemaker.

  • DOMAINE BACHELET-MONNOT
Domaine Bachelet-Monnot was only formed in 2005 but it has been cranking out the hits from the get go, with each subsequent release outdoing the last. Once you've encountered the tunes of the Bachelet boys, it's very hard to forget them. Unfortunately, other importers from other markets have also cottoned on to the immaculate quality here, so we don't get anywhere near the volumes we would like.
Marc and Alex Bachelet, thanks to the attention to detail in the vines and in the cellar, received immediate recognition for their Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Maranges 1er Cru.

  • DOMAINE HUBERT BOUZEREAU-GRUERE & FILLES
Based in Meursault, Hubert's two daughters took over the running of the estate in 2000. Having trained with Jacques Carillon, one of Puligny ‘s greatest growers, Marie-Anne concentrated her efforts on improving the quality of the vineyard. Marie-Anne’s philosophy is that making wine is easy if you have a healthy vineyard. Her sister, Marie-Laure, has taken over the commercial side of things.
A new producer for us, and we believe one of the future finest winemakers in Burgundy.

  • CHANTEREVES
One of the joys of Burgundy is discovering new producers. This is the very first vintage of Chantereves, a 'negociant-vinificateur' as one-half of the team behind it, Tomoko Kuriyama, told me sternly. She trained at Paul Fürst, Pinot master, and after Geisenheim and experience at some top addresses, she was taken on as estate manager at Friedrich Altenkirch in the Rheingau. Her wines there garnered praise from the likes of Stuart Pigott and Gault Millau as well as doing well in major international wine competitions.
Tomoko Kuriyama and her boyfriend Guillaume Bott embody the new generation of producers.

The Bize holdings are, with minor exceptions, entirely within the Savigny AOC, a mix of 1er Cru and Villages wines.
